January Orientation 2024 Schedule

Congratulations on your acceptance to Framingham State University – we are delighted to welcome you to our fRAMily! Contact the New Student Orientation Office at orientation@daves-studio.com or 508-626-4615 if you have questions!

Once you are ready to become a Ram, your first step will be to confirm your enrollment. In order to do this, you will need to reply to your offer of admission and submit your non-refundable enrollment deposit. After you submit your deposit, follow the remaining steps on the New Rams Checklist below to prepare for your arrival on campus.

Step 1- Activate your Accounts

It is crucial to activate your FSU account in order to start receiving communications from Framingham State University. Follow the Tech Prep Instructions given to you in your enrollment packet!

Step 2 - Complete the Ram Ready Portal

Ram Ready Portal is a Fall Orientation requirement only

This set of online modules is designed to give you vital information you will need as you navigate being a new Ram! 

To access the portal, log in to myFramingham with your FSU username and password. Click "Online Orientation" on the lower left-hand side.

Step 3 - Submit Required Forms

Step 4 - Schedule your Course Selection Appointment

All Students: Students may start reaching out to schedule advising appointments anytime on or after November 27, 2023. See below for how to make your appointment.

For First-Year Students: Incoming first-year students will meet with their department chair, faculty department advisor or professional advisor in a one-on-one meeting, Zoom or in person.  During the meeting, you will discuss your fall course plans and create your fall schedule.  Currently, we are offering appointments so you may receive the best selection of courses. Please make your advising appointment now.  Instructions to make the appointment are here. Email advising@daves-studio.com with any questions!

For Transfer Students: Incoming transfer students will meet with their department chair in a one-on-one meeting, Zoom or in person.  During the meeting, you will review your transfer credit and your Degree Audit on myFramingham, choose fall courses and complete registration.

To schedule your appointment, please visit this list of department chairs and their email information. Request a meeting by including your name and FSU student ID number.  They will arrange a meeting time with you.

Step 5- Pay your Bill Or Set up Payment Plan

Once you register for courses, it is important to take care of your bill! 

To pay your bill or set up a payment plan, log into myFramingham with your FSU username and password. On the student home page, click on the "Pay your Bill" icon.

Step 6- RSVP for January Orientation

Step 7- Move-in to your Residence Hall

For students living on campus, move in will be held on January 15, 2024.

Step 8- Attend Orientation

Orientation will be held January 11, 2024. This program is designed to give you the knowledge and resources you need to be set up for success at FSU! Tentatively, we will offer housing for the commuter students during the program. 

Orientation is required for all incoming students.
